This Traditional Route program prepares you for state licensure and endorsements in Early Childhood (P-3) and Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD). Candidates are eligible for Certificate of Eligibility (CEAS) in P-3 with a TOSD endorsement upon successful completion of course requirements, field requirements, and Praxis II licensure exam. A Master of Arts in Education degree is available as well. (Applicants who hold a Certificate of Eligibility (CE) are not eligible for the Traditional Route programs. Felician does NOT offer alternate route programs.)
What You Learn
You’ll cultivate the tools necessary to foster innovative and inclusive learning environments for young children and uniquely-abled individuals. You’ll also learn teaching philosophies according to local, state, and national trends, as well as how to utilize culturally responsive practices.
How You Learn
Courses are offered in both an asynchronous and synchronous online format with weekly evening Zoom classes determined by each professor. Typically, students take two to three, eight-week courses per semester (Spring, Summer, and Fall semesters). Fieldwork begins with the first course.

The knowledge you will develop in the two specialized areas of Early Childhood and Special Education will make you more marketable to schools seeking to hire new teachers, allowing you to advance your career.
