For

At the conclusion of your coursework, you will be eligible for teaching licensure in Maryland. You will also gain hands-on teaching experience during two internships.
What You Learn
Complemented by a liberal arts education in a Catholic setting, the teacher education unit of Mount St. Mary’s University develops educators who are proficient in content and pedagogy, reflective, and ethical professionals dedicated to leadership in an increasingly diverse technological and global society.
How You Learn
Courses are offered year-round and are available fully online. The program culminates with two internships and a professional seminar, enabling you to implement the strategies you have developed in authentic classroom situations. Class schedules do not compete with work schedules; however, field and internship requirements may require teacher candidates to take time off from work.
