Designed for individuals who have a master’s degree in another field, the Post Master’s Certificate in Applied Behavioral Analysis is for professionals seeking advanced skills in ABA.  

What You Learn

Courses consist of explicit instruction in behavior analysis, including research design, behavioral measurement, assessment and treatment of behavior, ethical practice and supervision. Courses provide students the unique opportunity to learn from professors with diverse experiences in ABA. Through coursework, graduates are prepared to provide care in schools, clinics, homes, hospitals and everyday workplaces.

For those students interested in becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, our Post Master’s program meets the academic coursework requirements for certification in behavior analysis through the Behavior Analysis Certification Board.*

How You Learn

Most courses are offered in an 8-week format and are available in person or fully online. You’ll complete 21 hours of classroom instruction and pass a mock version of the BCBA exam.

Note:

*BCBA certification requires the following:

  1. A graduate degree whose curriculum meets the Verified Course Sequence. This can be achieved through the Mount’s MSABA or certificate programs.
  2. 1500 to 2000 hours supervised fieldwork. The Mount MSABA program can support students obtaining the required supervised fieldwork; however, completion of field work hours at the time graduation is not required, and hours can be completed following conferral of the MSABA degree.
  3. Pass the BCBA exam – In addition to the BCBA credential, some states have additional state licensure requirements. For the state of MD, obtaining the BCBA credential will permit one to apply for state licensure.
