Thank you for your interest in Point Park University's Master's and Certification Programs.

To reserve a seat in your preferred cohort, we will need your application (step 1). This can be completed by clicking the button next to step 1.

To expedite processing, please use the online forms whenever possible.

If you are a PPU Alum, some steps may be waived! Contact us for more information!

Application for Graduate Admission

Financial Aid & Payment Options

Determine how you plan to pay for the program: Financial Aid or Pay-As-You-Go.

If using Financial Aid, Complete the FAFSA online. It is in your best interest to complete the financial aid process as early as possible.

If using a Pay-As-You-Go plan, click the button for more information.

Official Transcripts

Arrange for all official, sealed transcripts from any post-secondary schools attended to be sent to the address below. Official electronic transcripts can be sent to gradadmission@pointpark.edu.

Current Resume

You may submit your resume directly to the Graduate Information Office here. Your resume can also be e-mailed, faxed to (800) 504-7618, or mailed to the address listed above.

Statement of Purpose

A statement of purpose is required which addresses how your professional experience and career goals relate to graduate study.

You may upload your completed essay (minimum of 200 words) using our online system. If you prefer, you may choose to email your essay to cweidinger@graduateprogram.org.

Identity Verification

Applicants for the online program must submit a personal photo and a picture of a government-issued photo ID for identity verification purposes.

Allowable file types for PERSONAL PHOTO: .jpg, .tiff, .gif, .doc, .docx, .pdf

Allowable file types for GOVERNMENT ISSUED- ID photo (driver’s license, military ID, passport): .jpg, .tiff, .gif, .doc, .docx, .pdf

You may upload your photos using our online system, or email them as attachments to cweidinger@graduateprogram.org.

Letters of Recommendation

Point Park University requires two references for applicants whose GPA is lower than 2.75.
Immediate family members and spouses are not eligible recommenders.

Use our electronic reference system to submit your chosen recommenders names and email addresses. This will allow us to e-mail reference forms to each recommender on your behalf. Please have your recommenders check their SPAM folder if they do not receive our automated email in their inbox.

Artistic Portfolio

Required ONLY for Dance Education applicants who do not have a bachelor’s degree in dance: Dance Resume, 1-2 paragraph statement of intention describing how this program fits into your career plan, 5-10 minute video of choreography from the last 5 years and a 5-10 minute video of teaching from the last 5 years.

  1. All portfolio materials must be submitted online through Acceptd – click to begin (Please link Acceptd to: https://app.getacceptd.com/pointpark )
  2. On the left hand side of the page, in the dropdown below “Get Started,” select
    a. Term of Entry – Fall 2025
    b. Area – Dance Education
    c. Program – M.Ed. in Dance Education
  3. To the right you can then view the artistic portfolio guidelines and requested components. You’ll need to create a free account to begin the online submission process (just provide an email and establish a password).
  4. Click Submit Materials to upload your items.
