Program Overview
Concordia University Chicago’s Trauma and Resiliency in Teaching and Learning certificate program provides students with an innovative, world-class learning experience focused on trauma and resiliency. It is anticipated that this program can meet the needs of additional members of the community (beyond teachers), such as parents, community members, administrators, etc.
Courses are taught by experienced education leaders and scholars, who assist candidates throughout a certificate program by stressing the importance of integrity, competence, and servant leadership. Faculty methods utilize the latest technology and engage students through real-world applications using multiple instructional models.
Program Objectives
- Engage in coursework that considers how to meet the needs of students experiencing trauma and to cultivate communities of resiliency in our community.
- Develop an understanding of stakeholder leadership and effective stakeholder advocacy.
