The Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Educational Leadership at CSP Global is for students seeking to maximize their leadership talents and skills in Early Childhood through Grade 12 educational settings, including eligibility forĀ licensure in the state of Minnesota as a K-12 principal, superintendent or special education director.
The purpose of this program is to prepare classroom teachers to develop as leaders in their schools and school systems who will facilitate the design and implementation of sustained, intensive, and job-embedded professional learning based in their schools and school systems. Completers also possess the understandings that enable them to use fundamental research methods to address educational problems and assume leadership roles beyond the classroom.
The Ed. S. in Educational Leadership prepares candidates with the content knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary to effectively lead schools, districts, and educational agencies.
The Superintendent Endorsement Ed.S program consists of seven courses (eight weeks in length and face to face) and three internship field based experiences (sixteen weeks each in length) which meet the State of Illinois requirements for the IL Superintendent Endorsement.
For teachers who want to earn their Specialist degree in Instructional Leadership Concentration with the option of adding on Principal Licensure.
For teachers who want to earn their Ed.S. degree with Leadership in School Reform Concentration. This is a non-licensure track for educators with a degree, license, or experience in school leadership.
